At Medical School Berlin, the bachelor’s program “Health Economy” combines knowledge from medicine, economics and management. Course Structure, Modules & Key Features

The bachelor’s program is completed in six semesters in a full-time study model and comprises a total of 180 ECTS credits. The modular curriculum groups related subjects into modules that usually extend over a maximum of two semesters and conclude with an examination. After successful completion, credit points are awarded according to the workload of each module. The study structure is based on five competence areas: general professional management skills, cross-professional action competence, specific professional expertise, occupational competence and methodological as well as social skills. Students gain knowledge in economics and business administration, as well as in medical and health economic contexts. Additional focus areas include project and process management, quality management in healthcare institutions and interdisciplinary collaboration in healthcare settings. An internship in the 5th semester is also an integral part of the program. The program concludes with the bachelor’s thesis and the degree “Bachelor of Science (B. Sc.)”.
